Hi there! I have been a Licensed Holistic Esthetician for five years and counting. Come join me on my front porch as we journey down memory lane on how I arrived here. I grew up in the hollers of West Virginia, surrounded by an abundance of nature. I loved listening to the multitude of birds and taking part in the gardens. I have always been close to nature and had an appreciation for how plants help us in countless ways. My love for beauty began with my first application of blue mascara in the early 2000’s. I would cut my friends hair with awful quality scissors, which I’m sure their parents loved. As I grew I began to experiment with aspirin for exfoliation, creating my own sugar wax and mixing all manner of face masks. Although I have since gained exposure to formulations, those experiences taught me valuable insights that pushed my boundaries and understanding that I still lean on to this day. Being from a small town, I was unaware that becoming an Esthetician was a career option. I continued to wax and perform facials on any willing participant I could find, my love for the art of skincare flourishing each day. I recall my senior project on Cosmetology and how it changes lives. The man who moderated my presentation told me that it did not change lives and didn’t have any real value in the world. How wrong he was! I took his criticism to heart and went to school to pursue medical assisting and phlebotomy, then interior design while continuing makeup artistry on the side. I discovered so much about myself during those experiences, never losing my love for beauty. I recognized my enjoyment of caring for others while working in the ER, easing their physical pain as well as their hearts. I closed that chapter, and opened an herbal business, which I operated for years. Fast forward to finally enrolling in Esthetic school and shortly thereafter, the world shutting down. Covid transformed our lives and shifted everything we knew of the world around us. Esthetics gained popularity due to social media and there were more Estheticians than ever before. Instead of becoming discouraged by the competition, I honed my expertise and leaned into what made me unique. I have utilized Gua Sha for over 15 years and desired to share my experience with every client who entered my treatment room. The restorative abilities of traditional modalities stemming from traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda have aided many of my clients concerns. I have loved every minute of this journey, though it is hard to believe it has been 20 years in the making. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to make the world a better place one face at a time.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A 50% fee will be incurred for appointments cancelled within 24 hours. A 100% fee will be incurred for no shows and same day cancellations unless the appointment slot is filled or is due to the conditions below. By booking you agree to the terms: Inclement weather is described as torrential rain or snow that creates an unsafe level of visibility , severe flooding, active tornadoes and severe ice. Cancellation fees due to illness or emergency will be waived at the discretion of the business. I agree to contact the business immediately upon discovering any issues as listed above. Evidence of a cold sore will terminate the appointment incurring a cancellation fee. Illness usually is evident within 24 hours of more and therefore will incur a cancellation fee unless it is acute for same day cancellations. Rescheduling is permitted a maximum of two times before a rebooking deposit will be required to hold the appointment time. This rebooking fee is nonrefundable and will be applied to the booked service as a credit or will be used to cover the cancellation fee as discribed in this contract. In the event that you are unable to attend the appointment, you may send another person in your stead to benefit from your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. This person will be required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the service to complete intake forms as a new customer. Prompt arrival time is solely your responsibility and tardiness may result in abbreviated service as the service time begins at the set appointment time. Tardiness beyond 15 minutes may result in rescheduling being required as there will not be enough time to complete the service.
